Karma- Bites with a Vengence

After reading the title, most of you will think, oh.....F@%K....another directionless youth going through tough times and venting his heart out on a public platform. I don't have a problem with that but hear me out once. Think about what I am trying to say and it might appeal to your senses. If not a food for thought, but a small bite may be....

During the conversations with a friend, I was told that everything happens for a reason, life has bigger plans and all such stuff. After the pep talk fizzed out, I sat down to analyze why does it happen. Instantly a word popped up in my head....like in cartoons where a bulb lights up after an idea. It must be my Karma.....what is happening to me is a Payback. Life like a viper was lurking in a corner and as soon as I took a step forward....BAAAM.....it bit me, and bit me where it hurts. It injected the venom of reality and took a chunk of my leg as a parting gift...

Toning down the vivid description, I do believe in Karma. I am sure many of you do as well. Its like an empty field where you can sow seeds and it bears fruits..... shoots grow rapidly and tell you whats in store while others wait and take their sweet time. On the surface it might look like a twig but deep down, the roots spread out and dig into your Conscience. Deep down you always know what you have done. Whether its jumping the line or cutting someone while driving to playing with lives, we all know our deep dark secrets. Its just that we don't think about them, or lets say we don't want to think about them. It colors us in a shade that we don't like, and we being selfish, easily overlook the entire situation. We coax ourselves to believe that its over and we got away unscathed but the truth is very different.

I am not saying that you are not allowed to make mistakes, nor do I believe that you should be prosecuted with the sword of morality. Mistakes like everything, is a part of growing up and they make us the human being we meta-morph into.

Call it a spiritual awakening or confused thought, but someone once told me that "whatever you do, you will pay for it". It wasn't a curse but a truth of life. Something that we fail to acknowledge. For those who believe in a higher power of any sorts, should know that no matter how fast you run, life will catch up-to you sometime. For others who are 'Logical', think of it as a consequence of your action.

I am not trying to scare you or something, nor am I imploring you to always walk the path of righteousness, its your life. All I am trying to say is when you are in a rut and think why it is happening to you, remember that the innocent puppy you saw across the cross roads has grown into this vicious wolf. During the entire journey, it was watching you and at the next intersection, it will cross over.

Now, will it walk next to you like the harmless puppy it once was, or it will dig its teeth in your flesh is something we will have to find out. Do let me know if I have stirred some thoughts or brought back some painful memories....
